SPECIAL EVENT! CABIN FEVER
February 28, 2026
Before there were kitchens, before there were recipes, there was fire. Fire brought people together. It warmed hands, fed families, and built community. On February 28th, 5-9 pm, we gather again at the J. Huston Tavern, where history still lives in the walls and spring is just beginning to stir. Join Chef Amante Domingo as he cooks over open flame, honoring one of the oldest traditions we share. Cabin Fever is more than a meal. It’s a celebration of place, people, and renewal—and a benefit for the continued preservation of the oldest continuously operating restaurant west of the Mississippi. Tickets are $125 per person and are limited. Reserve your spot soon or risk being left out in the cold! Please note: this is a fluid event where guests can mingle and dine as they choose, and will not have set seating times.
Come enjoy warm hospitality and delicious food.

Join the J. Huston Tavern Society
In early spring 2024, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) sought a vendor to operate the historic J Huston Tavern after the Friends of Arrow Rock terminated their lease agreement in December 2023. However, DNR was unsuccessful in securing an operator. In response, a group of local historic preservation advocates and residents of Arrow Rock formed the J Huston Tavern Society (JHTS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to “maintain and preserve the tradition of the J Huston Tavern as the oldest continuously operating restaurant west of the Mississippi.”
Now we invite you to join us in this important mission.
